Q: WHAT KIND OF IDENTIFICATION IS REQUIRED FOR THE NOTARY PUBLIC?

A: A valid picture identification is required. i.e. Drivers Licence, State ID Card, Passport, Military ID are examples of acceptable forms of identification.

Q: I HAVE A DOCUMENT THAT REQUIRES NOTARIZATION BUT I ALREADY SIGNED IT. CAN THE DOCUMENT BE NOTARIZED?

A: The notary public must witness the signing of the document in question.

Q: CAN A NOTARY SIGNING AGENT AND/OR NOTARY HELP US COMPLETE OUR DOCUMENTS OR PROVIDE ADVICE?

A: No, a Notary Signing Agent or notary cannot create documents, assist in the completion of your documents and/or provide legal or tax advice. If you need legal and/or tax advice, it is advised to contact an attorney and/or tax professional.

Q: CAN A NOTARY PUBLIC PREPARE OR REVIEW AND/OR COMPLETE A LEGAL DOCUMENT?

A: As a person of honesty, credibility, truthfulness and integrity whom is appointed by the State to service the public as an impartial witness performing a variety of acts is related to the witnessing the signing of important documents, taking oaths and affirmation but not limited to, performing acts authorized by law, as a Notary Public, I am not an attorney and/or tax professional, thus will not and cannot provide legal advice and/or assist a signer to draft, prepare, select and/or complete a document and/or transaction.

Q: CAN A NOTARY PUBLIC ABLE TO DECLINE SERVICE?

A: Notaries must perform all reasonable an lawful request for notarization. However, a Notary may decline service for some circumstances:

  • If document signer is unable to produce property identification,
  • If the document signer is unable to produce a credible identifying witnesses when required,
  • If the document in question is incomplete and/or contains blank spaces,
  • If the document does not provide notarial wording and the signer is unable to provide instructions as such,
  • If the Notary Public is uncertain of the signer’s mental awareness, willingness or has cause to suspect fraud,
  • Every Notary Public can not perform notary services outside the state he or she is commissioned in. For example: Arizona Notary may not travel to California and/or any other state to perform notary services unless they are also commissioned in that State.

Q: WHAT IS A ONLINE NOTARY?

A: If you can’t travel but still need to get something notarized?  You can have your document(s) notarized online from anywhere in the US, with our approved remote online notary (RON) over the internet via digital tools and live audio video call.

 

Q: WHAT IS A PROCESS FOR USING A REMOTE ONLINE NOTARY?

A: First steps; include sending the document(s) to us and set up an appointment;

Second step; on the appointment date and time, you will receive a link to start the identification process. This process is two fold, verifying you valid ID and knowledge base verification by answering some questions;

Third step; meeting with the notary online via live audio video connection and review the document you will be signing and then sign electronically, the notary will then notarize the document, and payment for services rendered.
